It was designed using an inductive pattern that allows for discovery learning where customer support guides themselves through a conversational branched-scenario interaction. With each selected response, customer support will glean new pieces of learning while experiencing an interactive and engaging way to remember the content. Designed as a high-level overview, and to provide training for recruiters with little healthcare experience to effectively evaluate nursing candidates’ resumes for the specified Care Manager position. The goal is to improve the time it takes to review and select qualified nursing candidates. The learning activities connect each topic to the learning objective through online interactions, scenario resumes, and practice. The activities provide targeted learning while going through the screening process. The recruiter is presented with realistic challenges and required to make a decision to learn from their mistakes. Shape Shifters
Shape Shifters is a gamification demo designed to help build mathematical skills around shapes, colors, and patterns for an audience between the ages of 2 to 5. The game is formatted as a simulation that emulates real life events, following a narrative story in a fun and engaging way. The avatars and locations in the game are animated and realistic to appeal to a younger population. Learning opportunities are tied to the actions, rules, and the context of the game through mathematics problems. Players will navigate “a day in the life” narrative story from a child’s bedroom to the park, and the ice cream shop. Math problems are presented through activities the player must perform to progress the narrative and continue play.
